Commercial Film Production Cost: What to Check Before You Request a Quote
Two commercial-film proposals can name the same duration and still cover different work. Compare the creative responsibility, scenes, release context and delivery versions line by line.

Start with one comparable brief
Before comparing totals, share the same purpose, core message, audience, release channels and required durations with each production partner. This guide does not publish fixed or starting prices.
Read preparation as separate work
Ask whether concept development, script, storyboard, casting, rehearsal, location research and art direction are included. A location used as it stands and a set requiring decoration and product styling are not the same scope.
Understand the shoot day
Make the roles for direction, cinematography, camera, lighting, sound and production coordination visible. The number of scenes, lighting setups and assumptions about talent, product and location availability determine whether the plan is workable.
Post, music and usage
Editing, colour, sound, voice-over, motion and VFX should be specified. Music, talent and voice usage need their media, territory and duration stated by the rightsholder or supplier.
